About
Come and join the Coddiwomplers for a fun, relaxed willow weaving workshop at our picturesque setting on Deepdale Farm. Under the tuition of 2 experienced basket makers, you will learn some basic skills and techniques of willow weaving whilst creating beautiful Christmas decorations for your home. In this workshop we’ll be focusing on using the flat weave technique to create a range of Christmas Trees.
Emma and Stuart are teachers and basket weavers based in South Norfolk. Stuart has been honing his craft for over 15 years, with Emma joining as apprentice a few years ago. She is now a fully fledged member of the team and together they provide a fun, supportive environment in which to learn the craft of willow weaving.
In this morning session you will make little woven Christmas trees that will be perfect decorations around the house.
This three-hour workshop is suitable for beginners, so no previous experience of willow weaving is necessary. However, some manual dexterity and hand strength will be required. Minimum age 18.
Teas, coffees and biscuits will be provided.
Maximum 10 participants in each session.
The course will be held in the Brick Barn, beside Deepdale Camping and Rooms. There is heating, but it is a large barn, so please dress suitably for the weather with layers.
Book in for the afternoon session as well if you would like to make a selection of decorative stars.
No accommodation is included with this course. We would recommend staying at Deepdale Camping & Rooms, which offer excellent self-catering rooms and camping for tents, campervans and motorhomes.
