Christmas Concert

About
Anna Tabbush
Contemporary folk singer/songwriter Anna Tabbush has gained renown for her own brand of heartfelt, socially conscious and catchy songwriting and more recently for her song Harbour which has spread around the world like wildfire in support of those fleeing persecution and seeking refuge in safer countries.
This year Harbour was featured on BBC sitcom Juice, a performance by a thousand singers at the Kendal Street Choirs festival and a massed choir performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall.
Anna’s heartfelt connection with nature, her warm and witty stage presence and the musicianship she has dedicated a lifetime to, has gained her a dedicated following around the UK and beyond.
For this concert she will be joined by bandmates Camilo Menjura (guitar & vocals) and Rachel Drayson (cello).
Horsell Sings!
Horsell Sings! (previously known as Horsell Community Choir) was formed in March 2013 in response to local demand for a choir that would be open and encouraging to everyone wanting to experience the joy of singing, regardless of previous experience.
Under the inspired musical direction of Anna Tabbush the choir has delighted local audiences with their beautifully harmonised voices performing songs in a variety of genres and moods. The repertoire draws on contemporary and traditional songs from the British Isles and around the world, arranged by Anna for the choir in three and four part harmony. The choir has also performed many of Anna’s own compositions, including the well-known song “Harbour”.
For this concert the choir will be performing a set of Christmas songs and carols, ranging in styles from the light-hearted to the sublime.
There will be a grand finale where the audience will be invited to participate in some traditional Christmas carols.
