Spanish Film Study Day for KS5

About
This Spanish film day hosted by DeLC will explore Hispanic social issues, trends and artistic culture through Madres paralelas (Almodóvar, 2021). Not only does this critically acclaimed film by the famous Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar raise contemporary issues around the maternity of two women but it also alludes to the historical and political memory of Francoism. Although these topics directly relate to the content of the Spanish A-level programme, year 11 students are also invited to participate in this event. The event organisers will provide students with a study booklet for the day.
