BCQR: Dance as a creative method
About
Come and join BCQR for a creative methods session. Through this session we will see how dance can also be used to facilitate conversations and disseminate information to different audiences. The first hour will be a hands-on practical session showing how dance can be used to encourage research participants to open up and share their thoughts and ideas. This will be facilitated by artist and dancer Mez Galaria, who has worked with BiB researchers to create a dance based on a yearlong citizen science project around physical activity. She also has a wealth of experience in dance in different contexts. An example of her recent creative and engaging work at Bradford university can be seen here: https://theatreinthemill.com/salt-eaters-project/. Make sure you wear some comfortable clothes as the idea is that we all get involved to experience using dance as a creative method. If you have a research question you would like to explore in the session please bring your ideas along. Mez is ski
