Hutchie Holiday Club - Easter 23/24

Hutchesons’ Grammar School offers a fun-filled Hutchie Holiday Club that is open to all children aged 5 - 16 from all schools. Packed with fun and adventure, the multi-activity programmes ensure the kids break is active and full of excitement in a safe, caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel valued and listened to. Operating Monday to Friday from 8am - 6pm throughout all school holidays (except for public holidays).The Easter Hutchie Holiday Club will run:
• Week 1: Tuesday 2nd - Friday 5th April (closed on Monday 1st)
• Week 2: Monday 8th - Friday 12th April
If you wish to enrol more than one child, please complete a separate booking for each.
The closing date for the Easter Holiday Club bookings is Sunday, 7th April 2024 at 10pm.

Easter EGGstravaganza
All things Easter – There will be an Easter Egg hunt, cake decorating, painting & rolling boiled eggs, an Easter quiz, and more fun activities throughout the day.

Wednesday 3rd April
Jurassic Parrr – Great Western Golf
At Jurassic Parrr, we will play 18 holes of Adventure Golf and experience the near life size Dinosaurs in their top-secret enclosure.
We will navigate our way through rocks, caves, and waterfalls on an interactive fun journey.
Depart H@PP at 10.45am / Return to H@PP at 3.30pm

Thursday 4th April
Spring into Science
Join us for a day full of Easter EGGsperiments! Develop the skills it takes to be a scientist for the day by conducting a variety of experiments. Including discovering optical illusions, exploring our senses, creating potions, making gloop, investigating static electricity and much more!
Additional information: Please ensure your child comes along in clothing appropriate for messy play.

Friday 5th April
Fire Building and Camp Cookery with Park Ranger followed by Den Building
We have a full morning session booked with the wonderful park rangers in Pollok Park. The children will learn about building a fire safely, be taught whittling, bake bread, and cook vegetables.We will enjoy our packed lunches in the great outdoors and spend the afternoon den building.
Additional information: Outdoor clothing & footwear / waterproof jacket required
Depart H@PP at 9.15am / Return to H@PP at 5pm
Monday 8th April
Harry Potter Day
Come along in costume if you wish. Who will you be Hermione? Ron? or maybe Harry? Receive your Hogwarts acceptance letter, pass through platform 9 3⁄4, take part in the sorting hat ceremony then hold a house competition, play Quidditch, make your own wand and much more.

Tuesday 9th April
Alice in Easterland – Kelburn Estate and Country Centre
We will encounter many beloved characters from the story, guiding us down the rabbit hole to solve mysteries and tackle puzzles to help Alice in her quest to return to our world. Easter games such as hunt the egg and tug of war will add more excitement to our day.
This will be an adventure filled with intrigue and excitement, finishing with a final performance that will leave us spellbound!

Wednesday 10th April
Baltic Street Adventure Play
This is a large secure entry playground dedicated solely to children’s play. It’s a place where their needs and wishes are put first. Children are offered the freedom to grow, explore and create while having LOTS of fun!! There are bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens and ducks for petting, a full-size mud kitchen, rope swings, tree houses, raised beds for gardening, a designated area for den building and firepit activities.
Children will be provided with a lunch, taking in to account any allergies or dietary needs, however children may bring a packed lunch if they prefer.
Additional information: Please ensure your child comes along in clothing appropriate for all day outdoor play.
Depart H@PP: 10.45am / Arrive back to H@PP: 4.30pm
Thursday 11th April
Cookery Day
We will be donning our aprons once again to prepare and make our own delicious lunch along with treats to take home. Let’s see if we can find the next Junior MasterChef! On the menu:
- Homemade vegetable/lentil soup served with crusty bread.
- DIY Pizza Wraps
- Tiffin Traybake and Bounty Bars
Additional information: All dietary requirements will be catered for.

Friday 12th April
Weekend Wind down
Bring along your sleeping bags and pillows for relaxing movie time with popcorn. Visit our very own Hutchie Spa to have your nails painted, a foot spa, hair braiding or face mask. Relax in the Zen Room with soft music and mood lighting. There will be a tattoo station and face painting. Free play available all day.
Additional information: Please remember your sleeping bags / pillows, even housecoat and slippers if you wish.

Additional Information
- As well as the programme of activities listed, children will still have access to free play, arts & crafts, sports, board games, outdoor play (weather permitting) etc.
- Opening times: 8am – 6pm
- Children should be dropped at and collected from H@PP.
- While based at H@PP we may venture into Pollok Park.
- Please take note of departure and arrival times, as trips are booked in advance we must adhere to these times. Failure to arrive at ASC on time may result in your child missing the trip.
- Please ensure your child has a packed lunch with them each day unless otherwise stated. Please remember we are a NUT FREE After School Care/Holiday Club
