Launch event: Lancaster District Allotment Review

Come along to enjoy a seasonal community meal & hear about the Lancaster District Allotment Review findings & recommendations for Lancaster City Council, allotment sites and others.
This 8 month project looked at the present provision of allotments in Lancaster District and their characteristics (e.g size and facilities), how they are used/run, their contribution to biodiversity, their climate resilience, demand for allotments, other community-led food growing modelst, future visions for allotments & support needs.
Information for the review was collected through a site visits to 21 allotment sites, an online survey (nearly 250 responses), interviews, community conversations & by reviewing relevant reports and online research. A summary of the report will be presented, followed by a Q&A session.
The community meal will be provided by Closing Loops community chef network.
