Reducing Food Waste
About
Would you like to reduce your costs whilst reducing your carbon footprint?A third of food and drink produced by businesses ends up in the bin, and 75% of that food could have been eaten. This has a significant carbon cost, but also can have a big impact on an organisation’s bottom lines. WRAP estimates that on average the food and drink business in the UK could save up to £10,000 a year by eliminating wasted food.
Legislation is also set to change, requiring organisations with over 10 staff to separate out food waste from general waste and dispose of it separately. So there has never been a better time to reduce your food waste.
Join us for an interactive workshop where we cover the main sources of wasted food, mechanisms for reducing this and an introduction to the Guardians of Grub Scheme by WRAP.
You will also develop a personalised waste reduction action plan for your business to take away with you including links to tools to enable you to deliver this.
