Join us for an enchanting evening of chamber music featuring performances by Imogen Garner (mezzo-soprano), John Gough (piano), and Benedict Holland (viola).
Imogen Garner
Mezzo-soprano Imogen studied at the RNCM and performs opera, song, and oratorio across the NW and nationally. Imogen has sung with ENO, Scottish Opera, Birmingham Opera, and at the Buxton Festival. Roles she has performed include Carmen, Orlofsky, Marcellina, Florence Pike, Dorabella, Orfeo, Mrs. Grose, Third Lady, Katisha, and Berta.
John Gough
John combines solo work, chamber music, and his role as an accompanist. John has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall, the Carnegie Hall, and the Bridgewater Hall. John has been involved in many BBC broadcasts often featuring the works of John Ireland, and has also enjoyed giving live broadcasts of the complete piano quartets of Brahms, Dvorak, and Fauré.
Benedict Holland
A versatile chamber musician, Ben was a founder member of the Matisse Piano Quartet and the Music Group of Manchester. He is currently a member of the virtuoso chamber ensemble I Musicanti, and together with friends David Greed, Heather Wallington, and Jen Langridge, of the Victoria Quartet. In addition, he pursues a busy recital programme throughout the UK with both piano and organ. He is a Professor of violin at the RNCM and a visiting artist at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
