The action takes place when the office workers go home, Elsie, Gladys and Olive move in to clean - not forgetting Dave, their supervisor - who thinks he’s in charge.
Dave delights in informing them the company is bringing in an office-cleaning agency and they will have to re-apply for their jobs! All three are worried, because at their time of life, their chances of re-employment seem slim. Thanks to a wrong number, Olive comes up with an opportunity to make money…
After all, what have they got to lose? The “Telephone Belles” are born and that’s when the fun really begins. They are the only chat-line girls with dusters, attitude and their very own bus passes!
