Come along to celebrate growing, picking and cooking food together at St Tees Church Hall. From 4pm we will have displays and stalls from local organisations where you can get information on how to grow, compost and get involved. Learn more about Food Futures and why eating locally grown food is better for you and the environment. At 4.30 pm there will be a cooking demonstration on how to make "Salsa Verde with Green Tomatoes" using some locally grown produce and a chance for you try the finished product.
Then at 7 pm we will come together to share a meal. This is a chance to meet fellow growers and foodies, share tips and recipes.
To make this open to as many people as possible we ask you to bring a plant based dish to share, enough for yourself and 3 others. Either a Starter, Main or Dessert. Please also bring any home made cordial/juice or alcohol you may wish to share.
