• An understanding of Rosenshine’s principles of teaching and learning
• Applying knowledge about the impact of cognitive overload and how to reduce it
• Further understanding and applying knowledge about assessment for learning
• Supporting children to develop their metacognitive skills and to be self-regulated in their learning and more independent
• Effectively working with teachers; following planning, giving useful feedback and ensuring smooth transitions
