All are invited to the annual Leicester Community Carol Service in the beautiful, candlelit setting of St James the Greater Church. Following the success of the previous two carol services: 'Caring at Christmas' & 'Tears and Celebration', we present 'Anniversary' with a collection in aid of LOROS - Hospice Care for Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, and St James the Greater Church. In the presence of and with readings read by the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, the Lord Mayor of Leicester, the Chairman of Leicestershire County Council and the High Sheriff of Leicestershire. Readings & poems from local celebrities telling the Christmas story with a theme of local and national anniversaries. Join in with your favourite carols led by the Junior & Senior choirs of St James the Greater, organ & brass band, and listen to professional soloists and vocal groups performing a mix of traditional and popular Christmas music - there's something for everyone! Followed by festive refreshments.
