Musical settings of texts from the Song of Songs (also called the Song of Solomon), celebrating both human and divine love. This concert will also mark the 500th anniversary of the birth of Palestrina, alongside music by Victoria, Lassus, Clemens non Papa, Hadley, Eleanor Daley and Ola Gjeilo, and concluding with David Bednall’s “Rise up, my love”.
