About
Indian block printing is an ancient art and a really therapeutic pastime that anyone can do. It's perfect for taking you away from all the stresses and strains of our busy lives.This workshop will focus on techniques such as applying multiple colours on the same block design (both precise and mottled effects), mastering different types of repeat patterns and border designs.
This session is best suited to those with some experience or beginners who are keen to challenge themselves.
There will be plenty of time to practice these techniques before completing your chosen design on an item from the following options:
Tea towel - Tote bag - Drawstring bags - Set of napkins - Cushion cover
You will have a large choice of beautiful hand carved wooden block designs to work with as well as a range of both bright and dusky coloured fabric paints.
All equipment is included in the cost of the workshop, as well as your choice of hot drink and slice of cake.
