Business Networking for Women is exactly what it says on the tin: a room full of women from different businesses, careers and industries getting together to meet, talk, laugh, share ideas and support one another.Just come as you are. Some women arrive knowing lots of people. Others walk in not knowing a soul. Either way, the aim is that nobody feels left on their own. I’ll be there to welcome you, make introductions and help get conversations going.

We keep things relaxed. You’ll have time to network at the start, meet women from a wide range of backgrounds and find out what everyone does. Some conversations lead to business. Some lead to collaborations. Some simply lead to meeting someone you really enjoy talking to. And that is the whole point. Networking doesn’t always have to be about making a sale. Sometimes the most valuable connection in the room is the person who knows someone you should meet six months from now.

What I love most about this group is the mix of women who come along. We have welcomed business owners, professionals, entrepreneurs, authors, engineers, women starting something new and women who are already established in their industries. Everyone brings something different to the room. You might be able to help someone. Someone might be able to help you. Or you may simply leave with a new idea, a new contact or a little more confidence than you arrived with.

A little bit about me

I’m Ruth, and I facilitate Business Networking for Women voluntarily because I wanted to create something that genuinely gives back to the local community. Seeing women make connections, recommend one another and open doors for each other is what makes it worthwhile for me. The group has grown because women keep coming back and the word is spreading around the local community! That probably tells you more about the atmosphere than anything I could write here.
