“The Health Hazards of Climate Change and What We Can Do about Them”In this free talk Joe Human looks at different parts of the world, starting in Cumbria and ending in India, which have experienced extreme weather events related to climate change. Within each he considers what the effects have been on people’s health and well-being and ends by inviting the audience to think about actions that they might make in response.
With 20 years teaching humanities in Kenya, Papua New Guinea and England, 20 years working for Oxfam in communications and another 15 as a Fairtrade campaigner, Joe Human has had a lifetime telling stories of people on the frontline. Now involved with Sustainable Keswick he is putting his time and energies into communicating through words and pictures the realities of life for people on the frontline of climate change.
