About
We are excited, that in partnership with Inspire Activity, we are holding the fourth Oncology & Haematology Community Games, exclusively for the patients and their families of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Oncology and Haematology Department. This free event will offer inclusive fun, regardless of age or ability, and allow you to try different sports and physical activities in a safe and friendly environment.
The event will be held on Saturday 24th May 2025 from 12pm-3pm at King Edwards School, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham, B15 2UA with multiple events and activities for the children and young people to experience. There is free car parking on site.
WHY?
Physical activity plays a vital role in the physical, social and psychological wellbeing of children and is essential to their on-going care, rehabilitation and long-term health.
Often our patients and families feel that they are not able to participate in activities, including sport – we want to show them that they can and give them an idea of the resources available to them.
WHAT?
Some of the activities will include:
* Curling * Archery * Tug Of War
* Football * Martial Arts * Cycling
* Orienteering * Boxing * Tennis
* Boccia * Swimming
* Yoga *Singing * Table Tennis
* Netball * Soft Axe Throwing
(May be subject to change on the day)
