Join Dr Dominique Thompson, award winning GP and author, for an enlightening talk with Q&A about raising teens to thrive in the modern world.The talk is based on Dr Thompson's book 'How to Grow a Grown Up' and is aimed primarily at parents of secondary school age children.
Parenting in the 21st century presents unique challenges, as children face constant pressure to always be "on" and present their "best self" in a demanding world. Dr Thompson will reveal why young people may be struggling more, and what we can all do to help our children develop the life skills they need to thrive in this new and changing world.
Whether you are supporting a child struggling with life, or you are curious about what lies ahead for your teen, this talk will help you to build your child's confidence and resilience - so that they can become a strong, happy and independent adult.
Guests are invited to arrive from 6.45pm for refreshments before a 7pm start.
