Fresh and New
Divertimento are delighted to have been chosen as one of just ten choirs to perform the world premiere of Russell Hepplewhite’s glorious Living Voices suite, commissioned by Stainer & Bell. Each choir will sing one of the ten poems written specially for this work. Ours is Tender, with words by Mona Arshi.
Alongside this fabulous piece, we have chosen a selection of beautiful choral compositions by living composers including Whitacre, Muvla, Wailin' Jennys, Anglea, Todd, Dove and Rutter (but not as you know him - come and find out).
This promises to be a unique evening of wondrous, approachable music that we think our audiences will love.
Join us for an informal drinks reception at 7.30, with the concert starting at 8 pm. Then stay and meet the choir afterwards.
