Join Moyna and Anna at Claver Hill on Sunday 16th February 2025, from 1-3 PM in Polytunnel 1-Hands on introduction to the basics of tree grafting!
-Tree grafting is an ancient practice that preserves trees, and propagates new fruit trees
-Learn about different rootstocks and how they influence final tree height
-Grafting produces a replica tree and can be used to replace an old 'worn out' apple or pear tree
-Or take a favourite fruit tree to a new location
-Or create your own orchard from grafted trees
Tools will be provided but if you have Stanley knife or similar please bring it along if you can do so safely
Bring your own gloves, dress warmly, footwear appropriate for a farm and your own drink if desired.
