Democracy and Education in Trump 2.0: Views from Europe
About
The Critical Education, Leadership and Policy research group (CELP) at the University of Manchester, alongside our European colleagues are delighted to host a webinar on the implications of Trump's second presidency on democratic forms of schooling and its leadership. Trump's first presidency featured anti-democratic measures including the appointment of Betsy DeVos as Education Secretary, whose track record in privatising public education provision was a key factor. Writing as Europeans, contributors to this webinar are uniquely positioned both to trouble the normality of American practice and also to see features of it as prefiguring changes that may well land on our shores, as innumerable others have done.Location
