Crop Planning for a Northern Climate with The Plot

About
Crop planning is a critical and often overlooked part of farming and essential to a successful community growing project. A good crop plan guides you through how much of each crop to plant in the greenhouse each week, when to transplant to the field, the timing and quantity of weekly harvests through the growing season, and succession planting or cover cropping to make maximum use of limited space. During this free workshop, organic market gardener and FarmStart trainer Dionysios "Dennis" Touliatos of the Plot will explain the essential ingredients of a good crop plan and the basics of how to set up your own crop plan for our northern climate. While this session is aimed at community growers, anyone interested in better planning and management of their growing space is welcome to attend.
