This show is a charity fundraiser for Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team.Raving Rock play Mike Willoughby’s songs, infused with elements of British folk-roots, rock, ska and reggae. Their eclectic music is played with passion and precision.
Raving Rock members Mike Willoughby (lead vocals and guitar) Rick Middleton (bass guitar and vocals) and Ben McCabe (drums and vocals) have played together for well over two decades in the popular Cumbrian roots band Striding Edge. Raving Rock will be playing their show Contact Rock!
A celebration of all that is wild and joyous, edgy and compulsive in rock-climbing and mountaineering.
The songs are based on Mike’s own climbing experiences plus the stories and lyrics of climber friends.
The songs explore the histories, myths and legends that define our crags and our mountains.
