Join us for our professionally guided walk and enjoy the hidden valleys to the west of Ullswater. Grisedale Valley is famously where Wordsworth said his last farewell to his brother in 1800, and Glenridding home to the Greenside Lead Mines.Start your day at 9.30 leaving Glenridding, and the shores of Ullswater to head up to the Grisedale Valley and wonderful stride out with St Sunday Crag & Dollywagon Pike towering above you on the south side of the valley. We will make time for a short stop for cake to admire the view midmorning.
Our walk will be determined by the group, with various options depending on the weather and our ability. There will be an opportunity to bow out and return to warmth of our base at The Inn on The Lake if necessary. We will all meet at the Inn for lunch at 1pm.
