Nature Rich Miterdale Volunteer Day, 24th April

Come and volunteer for nature recovery at Miterdale Forest. This week will be clearing tree tubes from decades old tree planting efforts. There are thousands to bring down from the slopes and ghylls of whin rigg, or from closer in the valley if the weather is unkind.On a volunteering day we spend the day outside undertaking various practical activities, including maintaining and removing tree tubes, non-native conifer removal, native broadleaf tree planting, drystone walling, and citizen science.
Tools will be provided. All you will need to bring is your waterproof, warm clothes and your lunch!
