This waiting list is for a Sudbury School inspired setting opening up in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. Open Wednesdays, 10am - 3.30pm, term time, supplementing the home education provided by parents for children age 8-16. Approx £34 per day.
This project will begin its journey at First Ashton Scouts building with a vision of acquiring our own premises with art and music studios, science and media labs, work shops and lots of outdoor space in nature. A space where children choose what they want to do with their day whilst being around supportive facilitating adults. We want children to feel comfortable in themselves and know that the path they choose is their own. The Sudbury model was founded in 1968 and has at least 60 schools across the world.
