By Jove, do you hear the VE Day bells pealing out all over the land? Technically, you may not at this very moment, but you will on Thursday 8th May, when our optimistically named Midsummer Concert is also coming into land. We haven’t gone overboard on VE Day, admittedly – there’s some Austin Powers, Pirates of the Caribbean a Pink Medley plus songs after the Beatles as well. But our own Forces’ Sweethearts will be in jingoistic mood with ‘There’ll Always Be An England’. As opposed to Canada, apparently.
Marvellous. Chocks away.
P.S. For those of you who would point out that V-J Day (Victory in Japan and the effective end of WWII) is some way off, I am entirely with you – but we don’t have a concert planned on 15th August so we’re hoping to celebrate this in the interim.
There is a booking fee payable of 15p per ticket which is a charge from Trybooking, (this is non-refundable).
Please note that the Boxoffice@lehs.org.uk email is monitored during school hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. It is only checked occasionally during the school holidays.
