Carve a Lucet/knitting fork with Graeme Brown Woodcarving

About
Lucets date back to the Viking era and are used to turn ordinary yarn or string into a stretchy, square cord, ideal for use as a belt or hanging items and many other things. It would be a great addition to your craft kit. This is an ideal project for a craft enthusiast with an interest in sustainability. Lucets are available in mass produced form in plastic or "mystery" wood of unknown provenance and shipped from the other side of the world. We will make our lucets from locally foraged wood using simple hand tools. No previous experience is necessary and all tools and materials are provided. This is a new workshop and spaces are fairly limited so please book early. Coffee and Cake are available at the venue. Get in touch if you have any questions, I'll be happy to get back to you.Location
