Practical Beekeeping (SOLD OUT)
16 August 2025 10am-5pm

Come together and immerse yourself in the amazing world of the honey bee and discover the art of practical beekeeping at the Findhorn apiary. This hands on workshop is open to everyone from 8 to 98, total beginners to experienced beekeepers who have an open and enquiring mind and want to know more about these communal animals that have coexisted with flowering plants for over 100 million years. You will be guided by three gentlemen, Jonathan Caddy, John Willoner and Martin Harker, with many decades of experience with bees and teaching and a great passion to pass on their practical knowledge. Delve into the fascinating life cycle of these insects, the equipment needed to keep them and how we humans can help them with their essential pollination work as well as provide us with excess honey to delight our senses and palates.
