North East London Cancer Alliance, in partnership with Inspire Activity, are thrilled to be holding our first ever Barking Sporthouse Community Games.
This FREE family fun day will be held at Barking Sporthouse on Saturday 13th September for local residents and their families.

It will offer inclusive fun, sports and activities, regardless of age or ability. It is a fantastic opportunity to try a new sport or activitiy in a safe and friendly environment, as well as meet new people and find out what is on offer locally. There will also be several health stations offering free helpful advice and information to everyone attending.

The event will be held on Saturday 13th September 2025 from 11am - 3pm at Barking Sporthouse and Gym, Dagenham, RM8 2JR.

WHY?

Physical activity plays a vital role in our physical, social and psychological wellbeing and is essential to our on-going care, rehabilitation and long-term health.

Often our families feel that they are not able to participate in activities, including sport – so we want to show them that they can and give them an idea of the many sports, activities and health resources available to them locally.

Key Visitor Information

• When you arrive, we will guide you to the information point
• Community Games Makers will be available to answer questions and provide support
• FREE ENTRY
• You're very welcome to bring along a picnic. Please note we have a zero-alcohol policy on site
• No age limits
• We would like to take pictures on the day. Please make a member of the volunteer team aware if you do not want your photograph to be taken
• If assistance is required, then carers must accompany visitors as we cannot provide a care service
• We will email you a 'Frequently Asked Questions' explaining everything you may wish to know so that you can enjoy your time with us as much as possible
