Midsommar (Pop-Up Screening for The Summer Solstice)
About
Join us for the Pendle Social Cinema midsummer screening of Midsommar, Ari Aster’s backward horror story of an American couple in Sweden.
A couple travels to Northern Europe to visit a rural hometown's fabled Swedish mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.
Make your own way to the venue, but car share if you can, or join Pendle Social Cinema at Colne Cricket Club car park at 6:20, and get a ride with us in the minibus (no expense spared!).
Doors open from 6:30pm for our regular pre-film social and some refreshments before the film. The film starts at 7:00pm.
We are operating a pay-what-you-can-afford basis - reserve seats now for free, then put what you can afford in our collection bucket
You may want to bring cushions and a blanket!
