About
In this workshop you will learn how to carve a set of beautiful buttons from foraged wood. Using simple tools, you will learn skills which will give you confidence in using sharp tools and inspiration for starting your own projects.
This is also an excellent workshop for textile crafters who can use wooden buttons on their projects, such as cardigans, purses and dolls.
All tools and materials provided, no prior experience necessary.
Suitable for children 12+ but each child must be accompanied by an adult (one child per adult) to supervise.
We start promptly, so please arrive at the location a few minutes before the start time.
If you are running late, please come into the site and you will be directed to the right place.

There is a maximum of 1 child per adult.
What to wear:
- Weather-appropriate clothes, which may include a waterproof coat or a sun hat

- A bottle of water to ensure you stay hydrated

- There is very little public parking at Claver Hill so please come on foot, bicyle or public transport.
- The number 7 bus runs hourly from town, with the first bus on Sunday arriving at Ridge Shops at 10.40am. It is about a 10 minute walk from there to Claver Hill.

Cancellation
We will only cancel the event in the case of extreme weather warning being issued by the Met Office. This is most likely to be wind-related.
We will not cancel in event of rainy or sunny weather.
