If you are struggling to fill your vacancies, you may want to consider widening your talent pipeline. With over 7,000 open job vacancies across Cumbria at the moment we want to help you explore how working with our special schools and pupil referral units you could find loyal team members that will support your business. Earlier this year, a group of employers told us that they were apprehensive about offering opportunities to young people with additional needs in case they got it wrong. We’ve listened and in partnership with the Centre for Leadership Performance we have developed a short workshop where you will:• Learn more about what is meant by additional needs and reasonable adjustments
• Receive resources to confidently support young people with additional needs.
• Receive guidance for you to create a positive and appropriate working relationship, balancing support and challenge.
• Gain skills to support young people with their short and long term career success.
