MHSG Women in WW2: A School Archive Exhibition

To coincide with the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on May 8th, our archivists prepared an exhibition commemorating the contribution made by MHSG alumnae and their female relatives during WW2.In the Archive, we are fortunate to have information in School Magazines, as well as some first-hand accounts of the work done by some of our alumnae. We are also grateful to those who have recently sent us information about their female relatives who served in many different ways.
This is the moment for all their stories to be told and their contribution acknowledged, so we would like to give the Manchester High community the opportunity to explore these fascinating stories in person.
On Wednesday 2 July, the exhibition will be open for visitors. Coffee will be served from 10am. At 10.15, the archivists will give a short introductory talk, then you will be able to browse the exhibition at your leisure.
