In 2017 Kate Rawles began a journey through South America along
the spine of the Andes, on a bicycle she built herself out of locally
grown bamboo. Over the course of her journey she met with
activists and communities working to protect the biodiversity of
their landscapes –and the industrial projects that threaten them.
