About
A one-day workshop with Matt Dunwell.
Working with microbes has become a hot topic among organic growers. It may feel overwhelming to pick your way through aerobic composting tea advocated by Elaine Ingham, anaerobic fermentation advocated by Jairo Restrepo, or the JADAM preparations largely coming out of South Korea.
Matt is familiar with all three different approaches and seeks the positive attributes of each. In this course Matt will take you through:
* The production of lactobacillus – used for compost, foliar feed, pesticide and bokashi
* Compost making using lactobacillus – the basis of a good soil
* Collecting & cultivating Native Microbes
* Biofertilisers – production & application
* Biochar production & use in the garden
* Easy Bokashi
Matt ran Ragmans Lane Farm for 34 years, has experience farming livestock, growing vegetables, & managing a commercial orchard and juicing business. He has been teaching for 30 years and is lead tutor on the Bristol SHIFT course.
