Explore the fascinating history of Bromborough Pool Village on a 1½-hour guided tour, available exclusively during National Heritage Week. Founded in the 1850s as one of Britain’s earliest model villages, Bromborough Pool offers a unique glimpse into Victorian life and the evolution of the community through to the present day.
During the tour, you’ll hear captivating stories, gain access inside some of the village’s historic buildings, and discover how this remarkable heritage has shaped the area’s identity. Founded in 1854, the village was created by Price's Candle Company to provide housing for it's workers, it is considered one the earliest examples of a model village and was the inspiration for similar developments like Port Sunlight Village.
Places are completely free but limited, so booking in advance is essential. Don’t miss this rare chance to connect with a rich local history — available only for National Heritage Week!
Guided tours will be delivered by a tour guide, showing you around the village and explaining more of its rich history. The tour will finish at the Autism Together chairty Cafe, where you will be able to purchase drinks, cakes and lunch - Afternoon tea is available but must be pre-booked.
