SEDBERGH ENGLAND'S BOOKTOWN is proud to present the DEATH IN THE DALES FESTIVAL 2025.
16 acclaimed authors will gather in Sedbergh on 17/18/19 October to give you, the audience, the chance to ask all those questions about 'how did you start writing', 'why crime?', 'how do you find facts about police procedure?' Film Noir at the Bar, on FRIDAY EVENING offers Sedbergh's famous Pizza Picnic supper (inc. glass wine or beer) & the showing of a classic film with insights from our authors. Down to business on SATURDAY with Conversations and Panels through the day, culminating in MURDER MOST FOUL, the life and crimes of Agatha Christie. SATURDAY EARLY EVENING features THE CASE OF THE LATE COOK, Whodunnit? It’s for you, the audience to decide. SUNDAY starts earlyish with more Conversations and Panels and a chance to hear about the reality of crime-fighting. THROUGHOUT the event you will have the chance to meet our authors and experts.
