About
Launch of Beck and Firth: An anthology of waters - by the authors in Carlisle Writers’ GroupWater shapes us and our landscape. Carlisle has had a difficult relationship with water recently with the city flooding twice, in 2005 and 2015. The writers in our group still find positivity in our rivers and lakes, and our city benefits from the beauty of the wildlife that inhabit our various waterways. This anthology draws together different writing styles along with the different experiences, and creates a smooth stream into our becks and firths.
Come and meet with the authors, hear about their inspiration and listen to them reading from the collection. You will have the opportunity to purchase copies of the anthology and to obtain refreshments from the Cathedral Cafe/Bar during the event.
Tickets are free but advance booking is recommended.
