PACE 'A' Acceptance
About
Acceptance is a critical component in building a therapeutic relationship with children and young people who have experienced trauma. It demonstrates your ability to connect with their feelings and emotions without judgment. Your positive regard for a child must be unconditional, irrespective of their behaviour. Acceptance means acknowledging the thoughts, feelings, experiences, and memories linked to a particular behaviour, even when you do not agree with that behaviour.Date
