Masterclass with Rachel Hickey
About
Rachel Hickey is an artist with the Czech National Ballet, one of the world's leading companies. While she has been with that company, she has danced in Jean-Christophe Maillot's "Cinderella, Sir Frederick Ashton's "La Fille mal gardee," Mauro Bigonzetti's "Scherezada", Marcia Haydee's "The Sleeping Beauty", and many other ballets.She has kindly agreed to deliver a masterclass to Powerhouse Ballet at KNT Danceworks on Sunday, 20 July 2025, between 14:00 and 16:00.
Rachel was born in Manchester. She trained at Elmhurst Ballet School. While at Elmhurst, she won a bronze medal in the Genee. After graduation, she joined the Ballet of the Moravian Theatre at Olomouc, where she danced such roles as Myrtha in "Giselle" and Gamzatti in "La Bayadere."
