This fascinating programme begins with a rarely heard work from 1970 - La Fauvette Des Jardins - which features birdsong from Isère from dawn to dusk. The second concert begins with a work from 1949 that features Hindu rhythms listed in the 13th Century Sangita Ratnakara. A unique opportunity to be immersed in the extraordinary, colourful and spiritual sound worlds created by Messiaen in the latter half of the 20th century.
