Five internationally acclaimed musicians come together as the London Tango Quintet performing music by the legendary Astor Piazzolla interspersed with stunning instrumental solos.
In 1921 a tango scene in Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse propelled a young Rudolf Valentino to global stardom. Ever since, film makers have used the dance to express the tensions, hidden desires and threats of violence between their characters. The London Tango Quintet's programme features tangos from the silver screen with Piazzolla’s Libertango and Oblivion and the golden era classics, La cumparsita and Por una cabeza.
