Historic England is excited to share that we’re hosting a hands-on workshop called "Help Us Find Southend's Hidden Heritage: Community Listing Workshop". Our aim is to engage the community in identifying heritage gems, submitting nominations for building listings, and contributing photos and stories to the Missing Pieces Project. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to spot Southend’s heritage gems, understand the National Heritage List for England, learn about the listing process and how to submit a nomination, and find out how to add their photos and stories to the Missing Pieces Project. This event will be a fantastic opportunity for the community to engage with our local heritage and contribute to preserving it. NB Please bring a laptop, ipad or other device that you can use for the uploading part of the workshop.Date
