Q&A on the New 10-Year NHS Plan
About
In early July 2025, the government published its new 10-Year Health Plan - a major reform agenda that proposes a ‘radical reimagining’ of the NHS. It outlines bold ambitions to shift care from hospitals to communities, invest in prevention and harness digital technology to transform how care is delivered.
But what does this mean for our communities and for the VCFSE sector?
We are inviting you to join us for a Q&A session where we’ll explore the Plan and discuss what this means for VCFSE sector.
We are pleased to welcome:
- Aaron Cummins, Chief Executive, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust Lead Chief Executive for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Provider Collaborative. Aaron brings extensive experience of leading system-wide change and collaboration across health and care. His insights will be invaluable in helping us understand the direction of the NHS 10-Year Plan and what it means for our sector, our partnerships, and the people we serve.
- Ian Dewar, Lead Chaplain at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust and Coordinator of the Bay Health Festivals. Ian is a passionate advocate for placing people and communities at the heart of health and wellbeing.
This session will provide:
- A summary of the NHS 10-Year Plan’s key themes
- An honest discussion about the risks and opportunities for the VCSE sector
- Insight into local implications and the role of place-based partnerships
- Time for Q&A and shared reflections
We encourage you to attend, share your perspectives, and use this as a space to ask questions about the future of collaboration, integration, and community voice in a changing system.
Before reserving your spot, please ensure you’re able to attend, as places are limited and in high demand. We operate a waiting list, so if you’re no longer able to join us after booking, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone on the reserve list.
