Founded by local professional musician Simon Davies, Katherine Concerts quickly became a treasured cultural feature in Ampthill, offering intimate Friday afternoon recitals by some of the UK’s finest emerging classical musicians. Held at the acoustically superb Ampthill Methodist Church, the concerts have drawn enthusiastic audiences, fostered community connection, and provided a vital platform for the next generation of professional performers.Now rebranded as Ampthill Recitals under Ampthill Cultural Events, the series will continue its core mission: presenting exceptional live music in an accessible, welcoming environment—with the added benefit of local coffee and homemade cakes after each performance, encouraging conversation between musicians and audience members.
