A SELF-GUIDED cycle ride from The Eddington, along sections of the traffic-free towpath trail and low-traffic country lanes to a campsite in the beautiful Arnside and Silverdale national landscape. The ride is aimed at families, but all are welcome. Meeting at The Eddington for hot drinks, with maps to share ideas for routes, and meet people to ride with if you're alone. Bring camping gear and food for an overnight camp at a quiet campsite in Silverdale – CAMPING FEE TO BE PAID ON SITE (£6 adult, Under 12s £4 and Under 2s free). NB ONE BOOKING is for ONE family-size TEN
The Cycle Touring Festival will be in touch with advice on what to bring, and full details. Ride finishes by 2pm in time for films and cake at the Eddington.
This is NOT a led ride - You'll need to be fully responsible for yourself, and bring everything you need, including bike repair kit. Some of your route will be on roads so you'll need to be aware of the risks of traffic, especially if cycling with children.
