BFWI Speaker Lunch (SOLD OUT)

Come to lunch, on Monday 27 October 2025, at the Bird in Hand pub on the A4 at Knowl Hill, and hear our speakers Bret and Karen Wiles who will be talking about "Fashion on a Ration". Lunch is at 12pm for a 12.30 start and it is a two course lunch for £32.00. Menu choices are taken at the time of booking and are as follows:Mains:
* Butcombe Gold beer-battered fish & chips, tartar sauce, minted peas or curry sauce
* Goats cheese & beetroot quiche, garden salad, fries
* 8oz Flat iron steak served with garlic butter, fries, watercress salad
* Pappardelle, portobello and oyster mushroom ragu, rosemary crumbs, English pecorino (V) (VG option available)
Desserts:
* Winter spiced rice pudding, winter berry compote
* Sticky toffee pudding, vanilla ice cream
* Affogato, vanilla ice cream, espresso (VG option available)
Please note, gluten free options are available and should be discussed with the Bird in Hand on the day for full clarification.
