One composer from 1600 seems to tower over his contemporaries.  Monteverdi’s mini-dramas seem as powerful now as they must have done back then.  Come and see why as the acclaimed ensemble I Fagiolini, directed by Robert Hollingworth, looks towards its 40^th anniversary with its favourite composer.  Expect songs of hope, outrage, lamentation and peace, performed with clarity and passion by the voices of I Fagiolini, accompanied by baroque organ.
