Summerhouse Farm Open Day.
About
This open day offers the chance to explore this new community farm site, to try seasonal treats and share your dreams for its future. There will be activities for all ages including:- Creating bird feeders and leaf crowns with ReWilding Roots using treasures from around the site.
- 11:00 Sound and story walk with Janet Swan. This will be a short walk along the hedgerow with an opportunity to sit, slow down and notice sounds, notes and words in order to be part of a hedgerow orchestra! Janet is particularly interested in the way that nature and sound connect us and calm us.
- Seasonal wild food tasters - using ingredients that can be found around the site already or grown on the site in the future!
- Site tours and activities to collect your observations and dreams for the site. 11:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 14:30
- Other activities to collect your ideas for the site.
All are welcome.
If attending, please try to walk or cycle to the site as vehicle access is extremely limited.
